TraceSweep uses your phone’s sensors to check a hotel room, rental or changing area for known signs of hidden cameras and listening devices, in a few minutes.
A sweep reports only what it found during that sweep, using your device’s sensors. It is not a certification, inspection or guarantee.
Turn on the flashlight and slowly pan the room. The camera looks for the small, steady reflections a hidden lens gives off.
The mobile app also checks nearby Bluetooth devices (and Wi-Fi networks on Android) against known camera and tracker signatures, plus a close-range magnetic check. The web version uses the camera only.
Every result ends with the places worth checking by hand: smoke detectors, clocks, chargers, vents and anything facing the bed or shower.
Recessed or offline cameras that record to an SD card may not be detectable by any app — check the list below by hand.
